High-grade vein-hosted gold discoveries in the Houndé Belt

The Boussoura Project is located in southern Burkina Faso, 10 kilometers north of the border with Côte d’Ivoire. The project is in the prolific Houndé Belt, which also hosts our Yaramoko Mine Complex 180 kilometers to the north and multiple other producing mines and large-scale discoveries.

The Boussoura permits cover over 18,000 hectares, with an earn-in agreement for an additional 27,000 hectares of neighbouring permits.

The primary targets are Fofora in the north and Galgouli in the south. Fofora has seen minor exploration in the past, while Galgouli was a new discovery. Since staking the properties in mid-2014, the area has seen a substantial increase in artisanal activities at both Fofora and Galgouli. This activity has been beneficial to early exploration efforts, outlining numerous veins of mineralization.

At Fofora, artisanal workings have identified nine individual vein sets averaging over 400 meters along strike. Drilling has returned multiple intersections of high-grade mineralization associated with quartz veining hosted in broad lower grade alteration zones up to 40 meters wide. At Galgouli, drilling has returned high-grade mineralization associated with steeply dipping quartz veins with coarse gold hosted in 5 – 10 meter lower-grade alteration zones.
